Welcome to Low Shires Boarding Kennels
Hi, I'm Jackie Sheard the owner of Low Shires Boarding Kennels, near Easingwold, York. A small family run facility which affords us the opportunity to specialise in giving individual care, love and attention to each treasured dog.
Established for over 25 years, the kennels are set in the peaceful North Yorkshire countryside. We are located on a quiet farm away from main roads, within easy reach of York, Thirsk, Easingwold and surrounding villages.
At our lovely boarding kennels, we present a home from home secure environment which will offer you peace of mind while your dog is on holiday with us. Our guests are exercised 4 times a day on safe field walks, either on or off lead, in 50 acres of privately owned farmland with no extra charges.
I cannot rate these kennels highly enough. Absolutely amazing. I've been sending my dog for over a year and always get a friendly service, very clean and very warming atmosphere. Buzz loves going to stay with his Aunty Jackie.

What they eat
We strive to make your dog feel at home. Bring your own food along and any usual treats. All dietary requirements accommodated.
Leave the rest to us!
Playtime
Don't worry about your doggy getting bored, there are plenty of toys to play with here if you forget your own!
Outside time
With a secure paddock area and acres of private land, whether on or off the lead, whilst in our care it is our priority to make sure your dog gets all the exercise it needs and has lots of fun.
Health
We keep a close eye on your dog throughout its visit. If we think they're feeling under the weather, our personal vet is just a 2 minute drive away and is happy to assist.
We are happy to administer your prescribed medications.
We are proud
to have easily achieved a 5 star rating from North Yorkshire County Council, following the introduction of new DEFRA regulations.
All our kennels are spotless and very generous in size with the option to get some fresh air in the part covered individual outside runs.

Lovely Kennels. We are completely happy leaving our dogs with Jackie, they are settled and very happy. These kennels are a great set up and the attention your pets get is second to none. Good value for money.
